Terms of service
These terms apply when you use the Bakehop app at app.bakehop.com. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them. Last updated: 1 October 2026. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your information.
Using Bakehop
Bakehop helps you cost recipes and products, set prices and prepare quotes for your baking business. You must be at least 18 and use Bakehop for your business. Keep your sign-in private; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
Costs, prices and totals come from the figures you enter, such as pack prices, yields, labour and margins. Check them before you rely on them. You remain responsible for your prices, quotes, taxes, food safety and the laws that apply to your business.
Free trial
The first bakery you create includes a 7-day free trial, with no card needed. Bakeries you create after that need a plan from the start. When a trial ends without a plan, saving and the assistant pause; you can still read your records and download quote PDFs.
Plans and payment
Each bakery needs its own plan, paid monthly or yearly in advance. Polar sells subscriptions as our merchant of record and charges your card; its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. The price, currency and any tax are shown before you pay. Plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
You can switch plans in Settings. Moving from monthly to yearly starts the yearly plan straight away; Polar charges the yearly price, less credit for the unused part of your current month. Moving from yearly to monthly takes effect when the paid year ends.
If we change a plan’s price, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and the new price applies from that renewal. If a payment fails, Polar tries again for a while and Bakehop keeps working; if it still can’t be taken, the plan ends and saving pauses.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. Payments are not refunded for unused parts of a period, except where the law requires it; if you think you were charged in error, contact us.
Your data
Your bakery records belong to you. You allow us to store and process them only to provide Bakehop to you. When a trial or plan ends, we keep your records so you can read them and continue later; you can ask us to delete your account and records at any time. You confirm that you may store the customer details you enter.
The assistant
The assistant uses an AI model and can make mistakes, including wrong quantities, prices or conversions. It only prepares changes; review them before you save. To keep Bakehop fast and affordable for everyone, assistant use is subject to fair-use limits, and we may slow or pause it for unusually heavy or automated use.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Bakehop for anything unlawful, to store content you have no right to, to harm or overload the service, to access other people’s bakeries, to copy or resell Bakehop, or through automated tools other than the features we provide. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
Changes to Bakehop
We keep improving Bakehop, so features may change. We work to keep it available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. If we ever stop offering Bakehop, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get a copy of your records.
Responsibility
Bakehop is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law.
Changes to these terms and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change applies; if you keep using Bakehop afterwards, the new terms apply. Questions? Contact contact@bakehop.com.
